6 Stages of Mastery
Clay
Preparation
Clay is kneaded by hand, air bubbles are removed through the Wedging process. This is the foundation that determines the fate of the future piece.
Throwing
on the Pottery Wheel
The hands of the master and the wheel's rotation create form from chaos. Every vase undergoes centering, opening, and wall pulling — three key movements.
Drying
to Leather Hard
Slow moisture evaporation. The vase loses up to 80% of its water mass, becoming fragile, like an eggshell. This process cannot be rushed.
First Firing
Biscuit
900°C transforms the clay forever. Water leaves completely, the materials fuse together, turning into ceramic body — solid yet porous.
Glazing
and Finish
Each glaze is chemistry and intuition. Mineral compositions react with fire to create a unique pattern that cannot be repeated.
Final Firing
1280°C
The final transformation. The glaze melts and fuses with the ceramic body. The product is born, one that will outlive its creator.
